CAT CARE

  Our Health Check Programme

We will send a Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to your home either monthly or bi-monthly.

They will
  • check your cat's weight
  • assess your cat's teeth
  • demonstrate how you can clean your own cat’s teeth.
  • supply you with a pet toothbrush and toothpaste
  • ensure your cat’s nails are not overgrown and trim them when necessary
  • examine your cat’s ears and clean them if necessary
  • give your cat’s coat a thorough inspection to check for parasites and poor condition.
Whilst at your home our Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse can answer any queries you may have regarding your cat.

Our Healthy Weight Plan

We provide you with nutritional advice and help to ensure your cat gets all the necessary nutrients and vitamins they need for body development and maintenance.

We will provide you with support and assistance when you are trying to help your cat reach it’s target weight. We also provide samples of various diets so that you can be sure your cat likes the food before you purchase it.

This saves you time and money !

Our Regular Exercise Programme

We devise exercise plans to suit your cat's age, breed and health to ensure they remain active, enriched and at their target weight.

Pet Care at Home can also put you in touch with different organisations and centres that you can take your cat to for additional fun and training.

Our Security Programme

If your cat is not microchipped we will do this for you.

Every year more than 300,000 pets go missing. Often animals that are not microchipped never find their original owner.

We use Petlog which is the largest reunification service in the UK. Petlog is also the only UK member of the European Pet Network which means if you loose your cat anywhere in Europe and they are found they can be traced back to you.

The procedure for placing a chip is quick and the chip is only the size of a grain of rice. It is invisible and the method of permanent identification most widely used.

Microchipping is also a legal requirement for animals travelling abroad under DEFRA’s Pet Travel Scheme.

Our Vaccination Scheme

Vaccinations provide immunisation against life threatening infectious cat diseases.

Kittens require two doses of vaccine when young to provide early protection and in some cases to provide maximum immunity.

After this your cat will require a yearly booster to maintain its protection against infectious diseases.

Pet Care at Home will arrange this and take care of the cost.

We will pick up your cat from your home and transport them to and from your Veterinary Practice to have its vaccination administered.
